Presented at 88th Annual Meeting of the State Bar of California

Attorney David G. Knitter presented at the 88th Annual Meeting of the State Bar of California on Friday, Oct. 9, in Anaheim. He was part of a three attorney panel which presented a presentation entitled, “Understanding Remedies for Financial Elder Abuse,” which provided training and education for California attorneys seeking to protect elders from different forms of elder financial abuse.

The panelists provided guidance and tips on when and how to get social services or law enforcement involved; how to resolve the problem without litigation; and what remedies are available under the consumer protection statutes, elder abuse statutes and the Probate Code.
